The Old Wisteria Hotel and Restaurant is a listed property part of which is a cottage, considered to be one of the oldest in the area, built from local quarried stone circa 1604.

Over the years the property has developed from its humble beginnings as a hunting lodge, to a private residence, then in 1979 was transformed into a hotel by the Boulton family, from which the hotel took its former name.

Now, and since 1985, under the existing ownership, the hotel has been largely extended and many improvements made, culminating in what is now one of the leading hotels in Rutland with facilities and services that meet the needs of the local community as well as the business and leisure visitors. The pleasant, natural and unspoilt surrounding, including the breathtaking views at Rutland Water, offer an ideal setting for the business and leisure visitor.
